Tobe was so excited when they stumbled upon the Old Man’s station - he wanted a shot of Leatherface going wild with the chainsaw. Gunnar Hansen got into it, doing this crazy dance and swinging the chainsaw around like a pro. They ended up using that same dance for the ending of the movie, but they had to cut out his parking lot performance.
Leatherface Dance is over! It’s been a wild ride, but all good things must come to an end. That’s it - no more dancing for Leatherface. Ah well, at least we had some fun while it lasted!
