Well, Ares is a character based on the Greek god of the same name. He made his debut in Thor #129 back in ‘66, thanks to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. He’s an Olympian who’s been affiliated with teams like the Dark Avengers, Mighty Avengers, Gods of Olympus and Warhawks. Plus he’s part of the Champions of Europe too!
